Before you begin a thing remind yourself that difficulties and delays quite impossible to foresee are ahead. You can only see one thing clearly, and that is your goal. Form a mental vision of that and cling to it through thick and thin. – Kathleen Norris
We all reach for goals throughout our life. In my experience, sometimes the road to the goal can be bumpy, even treacherous. These obstacles will typically be unseen from the perspective you had when your goal was born. However, regardless of what happens on the road to your goal or goals, whether you get there are not is ultimately your responsibility.
As the creator of our goal, we have all the power. It’s completely our creation. It’s our idea and it takes our energy to keep it going. We must constantly keep an eye on our goal. Compare it to driving. We should keep our eyes ahead while still making sure that we can deal with what is right in front of us. When obstacles arise, we can go around them, right through them or take a different route all together. We are in the driver seat.
So, when you are working towards a goal, keep your eyes and attention squarely on it. When those challenges and obstacles show up, use your desire to reach your goal to help you keep your attitude positive. Keeping your attitude in a good place will give you the creative edge in overcoming all difficulties that might come your way.
